CGHE Faculties Attended the 2023 Global Health South Forum

PRISIS

The 2023 Global Health South Forum convened at Guangzhou Southern Medical University from October 12th to 15th, marking a significant milestone in international collaboration on health initiatives. The forum encompassed a general assembly and three specialized sub-forums focusing on sexually transmitted diseases, tropical diseases, and implementation science. Notably, the latter served as the inaugural Pearl River International Symposium on Implementation Science (PRISIS).

Co-hosted by the Center for Global Health Equity, PRISIS marked the first-of-its-kind international academic gathering on implementation science in China. The event drew participation from 79 experts spanning 8 countries, with a total of 799 attendees.

Prof. Brian Hall assumed the role of session chair for discussions on the frontiers and barriers of implementation science. Delving into crucial topics such as the scaling-up of health systems intervention, the application of implementation science in low- and middle-income countries, health policy reforms employing implementation science methods, and the far-reaching impact of implementation research on global health policy, the session provided a platform for insightful exchanges.

Prof. Jin Han, Prof. Etienne Jaime, Prof. M. Yunus Rafiq, and Yuming Liu also attended the conference.
