Embrace the cutting-edge technology of artificial intelligence in our school-wide photo competition, the AI Imagination Showcase, brought to you by the Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE). As pioneers in innovative research, CGHE is dedicated to serving society and improving the health of diverse populations in China, the region, and globally. We envision a world where all populations can live healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives.
Objective
Utilize text-to-image AI to creatively represent CGHE's impactful research across five key research areas:
- Global Mental Health
- Digital Health and Implementation Science
- Migration and Occupational Health
- Urban and Environmental Health
- Trauma and Adversity
Guidelines
- Generate an original image using text-to-image AI that visually represents one of the research focus areas listed above.
- You can participate in teams (of up to three people) or individually.
- Each team/participant may submit multiple entries per category and may enter photos for up to three categories."
- Be considerate of the populations who are involved in our work and be mindful about how communities are portrayed in your images.
- Ensure your image is saved in high-resolution (at least 300 dpi) and in JPEG or PNG format.
- Include a brief caption (maximum 50 words) for each entry explaining how your AI-generated image relates to the chosen research focus.
Submission
Email your AI-generated photo to yl8748@nyu.edu with your name and the chosen research focus in the subject line (e.g., "Jane Doe - Global Mental Health"). In the email, provide your full name and contact information.
Deadline: Thursday March 28, 2024, 5:00pm
Prizes
The CGHE will convene a faculty judging panel who will vote to decide the finalists. One photo will be chosen as a finalist from each of the five categories, with each finalist receiving a prize of 100 Kuai Bookstore gift card. Finalists will be contacted via the email used for submission.
All finalist AI-generated photos will be showcased on CGHE’s social media platforms and university publications, and the names of the finalists will be featured. Selected images from all submitted entries may be showcased on our print materials, including posters.
