Abstract
This presentation will cover several results obtained during my PhD related to implementation of research findings in the field of dementia. It will begin with an introduction to implementation science, through an overview of results from an evidence synthesis (scoping review), highlighting a significant knowledge gap in the dementia research implementation ecosystem. Following this, I will share some key results from an empirical project that investigated multi-level research utilization strategies used by Dutch researchers to achieve research impact. This segment will detail the strategies and barriers faced by dementia researchers, the research infrastructure available, and the practical implications for daily research practice. The next part will outline an ongoing project examining the role of research funders in dementia research. This section will discuss the practices and tools used by funders to support research impact activities. The session will conclude with a group discussion and QA
