Etienne Jaime is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Global Public Health at New York University Shanghai. He holds a PhD in Public Health from University of Liverpool/Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University. Etienne previously worked as Monitoring and Evaluation specialist of various public health programs in the U.S. and Latin America. He worked in community health programs and interventions using participatory methodologies in the fields of sexual and reproductive health, mental health, minority health, youth empowerment and health,water sanitation and hygiene, and tropical & infectious diseases. 

Currently, his research interests include community-based and participatory methods (e.g., community-based participatory research and crowdsourced interventions), behavior change interventions, and mHealth interventions in the areas of sexual and reproductive health, youth health, and mental health. His research contributions have been granted national and international awards and assisted in the development of a national USAID funded project in Nicaragua.
